pop charger
Well, I bought a POPcharger this morning. I thought I was through messing with my intake. Currently have K&N, "Z" Tube, and a Crawford. I'll let you guys know how it performs on my "G".

I installed my JWT last week. Only took 1.5 hours. took it out for a spin. Instant sound diference and I am having trouble keeping the tires from breaking loose (thats good). I cannot believe that there would be a decrease in HP. I think the 11 HP gain is correct. At least I can tell an imediate difference. Get one now. Forget the rest, go with the best. I did my research on this one.
Now its time to get the exhaust.

I don't know what took you 1.5 (beer and contemplation?) mine took about .5 but I had taken the silencer out (which the heat shield screws to) previously so it took me about 3 hours to custom fab (trial and error) a metal bracket to secure the front of the heat shield at midnight from two random pieces of metal found around the garage with some pliers, a vice, a hammer, and a hacksaw. A beating I tell ya! But WORTH it, you are RIGHT. I do like this intake. Cheap and highly effective.

Well, 1 out of 3 aint bad. We do not envy you, we do not want to be you, we do not want your power. What we want is more power, just like you do. Using the "Z" tube is one of the good things we do.
The Ingen tube is not as good as the "Z" tube because it absorbs more hot air than the plastic in the "Z" tube. Also, I believe the Ingen is smaller in diameter. The Ingen is better looking, but the "Z" tube works better.

Can any one tell me, does the Pop Charger void warranty? I know the CAI could possibly, is it the same as the CAI or a solid yes or no?

So, if some thing did by chance happen to my engine, I could take it to performance nissan, and it would most likely be no problem.
Do these kind of things have any real history of making problems for the engine?

Go easy on the oil, if you decide to oil the filter itself. You don't need to oil it, but to trap fine dust and dirt, you should oil it.
People are frying their MAF sensors when they oil up the filter too much, and oil gets sucked into the intake and coats the MAF with oil.
I oiled up the filter, stuffed the inside with paper towels, and let it sit for a couple hours.

Just use something like K&N filter oil....when i used K&N filters in the past, i would oil the filter then let it sit in front of a fan all night and install in the morning. That way, i knew the excess had dried.
What's all this talk about oil? The filter in the POP-Charger comes pre-oiled. That's why it's blue. It should be oiled about every 30K miles or so, though I'll probably do mine at 15K miles. Before your re-oil, you need to clean the filter, with JWT of K&N cleaner, hose it off from the inside out, let it dry, then re-oil (with K&N or JWT oil) per instructions. Before any oil is applied, the filter needs to be free of all dirt and oil, and needs to be clean. In a cloth filter clean means white in color.
