Exclamation SG-Motorsport Longtubes!!!! BUY THEM

Ok so this is my first thread i have started but i just want people to see it, know it, and get my message across (Not sure if this will get taken down)

BUT....

I have been emailing Sasha back and forth about ordering the longtube headers and his most recent reply was as follows... "We just had too many guys that were “maybe” and decided to not go ahead with them. I’m sure a used set will come up for sale eventually!"

Well the problem with that is that i dont want used, so all out there that were thinking about it, DO IT! they are worth every penny and you will not be dissappointed. work a few extra hours if you have to if your thinking that 2k is too much. but i want them haha.

Thanks for listening

with 2k I can buy a car with more hp than what I will get from the headers. Nothing against sgmotorsports, I understand the price is high because they are not mass produced. Again though a little high, if they did a group buy for around 1.2k I would buy them.

Yeah... It's sad to see a great shop close. I believe they are open till Christmas.

All the best to Sasha!

This thread is so confusing..

How are you able to attest to their greatness if you don't have the product yourself?

WHY?
This thread is useless without before and after dyno showing significant gains.

that is really sad to see and nice to see at the same time. It's sad to see such a good company shut down. However it's nice because one day I hope I can have the guts to go after something I want like that and be okay with the outcome in the end, good or bad.

Props to Sasha(SGM type) I hope he makes a return at some point. I wish he would've made it over here a bit to spread some knowledge like some of the other vendors do

My build thread:
https://my350z.com/forum/na-builds/4...z-revup-7.html

An excerpt for my build thread about SGs vs other long tubes and high rpm power:

My original tune was with the Cosworth manifold, RT Tuning 3" MAF tube, and Megan long tubes. That pull was in 5th gear and you can see it drop off.

Original setup (SAE CF)
GynoDyno.jpg?t=1265878891

Injen/Cosworth/SG (Uncorrected CF)
This higher 2 lines were in 4th/5th gear, peak respective. The low was one of my old Mrev2/spacer runs. Almost 50whp at redline of 7800rpm!
Name: IMG00426-20110426-1929.jpg

Conclusion: SG headers made ~15whp (286 vs. 302 SAE corrected) on the Cosworth/Megan LTH setup. I wonder what would happen if I ported the Mrev2 and increased the spacer.

Conclusions:

1. SG headers make power (286whp vs. 302whp SAE corrected w/ Cosworth setup) over Megan's with no tq losses. See dyno comparison.
2. Cosworth DOES make high rpm power.

Price shouldn't be surprising considering the vast parts worth buying for the Z or any other car for that matter were never cheap to begin with.

It's sad to see the company shut down and cool that only a handful of people are running their headers, but I would love to see Sasha selling the header designs over a reputable company, maybe say Motordyne, for it to continue production.
