I have a Borla TD exhaust and Megan Racing test pipes and I get a hissing sound around 2500RPM when throttling down. I heard that an X pipe will get rid of the hissing sound.

I've been looking for a Magnaflow X Pipe but I can't find one on. Any suggestions or links as to who sells them? Would a Magnaflow be my best option or are there others?

I may be wrong,but I did'nt think that Magnaflow made a X Pipe "exactly"
for the 350.They have universal models that have diferent size inlets/outlets
that can be installed on the Z.Summit handles this x pipe.Also,they have their own X pipes available.Go to the Summit website and see x pipes.Another source is PERFORMANCE PEDDLER...MAGNAFLOW distributor.
The Magnaflow should eliminate the hiss.

What's the difference between an x pipe muffler and a regular x pipe?

 

an x pipe muffler is muffled, a regular x pipe is not. The x pipe muffler is what you want it will get rid of most, if not all, of any hiss/rasp.

 

Sounds good. What about performance? The x pipe should add a few HP right? Will there be a performance difference between the muffled x pipe and the straight x pipe?
