Default cold air intake vs short ram intake

My 03 350Z has a nismo cold air intake on it right now which came with the car. Ive heard that the pop charger is a better intake or shortening my cold air into a short ram is more beneficial than the cold air and results in better torque and better throttle response. Any input on this?? Thanks

The pop charger is just a cone shaped filter that attaches right onto the oem intake tube. Its a simple replacement of the airbox.

This "cold air intake" your talking about. Is it the same thing as described above? or is it a remote (wheel well) or down by the grill intake?

I have the pop charger on my car. I find my buttdyno improved with it and exhaust sound improved a tad. Not much. However i do find that the popcharger gets really hot with heatsoak and am now looking into a more remote cold air intake set up.

Plenty of reading can be done, heat soak is not an issue, the issue is that is injests hot air while stopped, the idiots scream heatsoak.

Drag racing IMO cold air is better, roadcourse the JWT is better. Daily driving, pick one , be happy and say its the best.

double from mobile device ftw.. haha. but i agree 100% .

intake does very very very very little.

Heat soak is what happens when you dirve like a nut in 106 degree weather... turn car off... go inside and have homosexual intercourse w a man-lady...then run back outside 20 minutes later, start car, and it drives like @ss.
