Horsepower gains are 11.5 @ 6200rpm and Torque pumps the vehicle up another 18.5lb.-ft. @ 3800rpm. For those with G35s, these units fit both the Coupe & Sedan models. The STILLEN Headers maintain 3/4-inch of clearance from the steering column, which alleviates any fitment issues previously reported with other brands of headers.

The Ceramic Coated Headers will be out in 2 1/2 - 3 weeks.

Stainless Steel Headers will sell for $998
Ceramic Coated Headers will sell for $811

We will supply images and more information in the following days. Should anyone have questions, STILLEN will be open on December 26th and the remainder of the month. We will, however, be closed on January 1st, 2004.

Please have a safe and happy holidays and please drive safely.

Stay 'Tuned'.
How much extra for installation? Thanks

you're looking at 5-6 hours times whatever labor rate you get charged. usually 75-80 an hour. shop around. 375-480.

I will bet...$100.00 that these headers do not produce 11 hp.

Take a stock Z, do a dyno. Install the headers, same day and do a dyno jet. If the headers produce 11 hp after 2 dyno runs, I will pay the $100.00. If it doesn't, whoever takes the bet pays me $100.00. This challenge is good for 30 days and for up to two challengers.

[edit] Dyno runs at an independent shop and observed by myself and anyone else who cares to watch.

Damn! $375-$480? You could do it your self. Or at least have a small get together with a couple local members. You could probably get it done for the price of pizza and beer.

most of the people that are doing it themselves are taking between 12 and 20 hours to do the job. Air tools, a lift, and knowing exactly what you are doing goes a long way. It is just a question of what your time is worth to you.

From the pics they look ALOT like the Borla headers and they are nowhere near equal length. I bought a set of the Borlas and I was not impressed. What are the lengths of each of the tubes in the Stillen Headers? I agree with hfm, I doubt that these are going to net 11 hp. but, I am going to wait and see.

The pictures posted of the Stillen headers reminded me of the Borla headers too. Right now I am looking at the two from images online, and they look very similar. Were the Borla equal length? The claim is that the Stillen are. I'm very interested in the Stillen. But I will be waiting on some dynos too.

No they were not. I had a set and measured them a while back and posted their lengths. I think that longest was something like 23" and the shortest was something like 18". (just guessing) Run a search...

How many diffrerent ways can you make equal length headers that fit? It seems they should all look similar.

Thats my beliefs too....A header is going to look like a header no matter who slaps their name on it..I am personally very sceptical of any HP gains from simply one bolt on mod...I dont believe headers will give you ANY hp unless you go the whole route of FULL EXHAUST< HEADERS< PIPES OR HIGH FLOW CATS and even then you need to upgrade your intake to get more air into the car..Then maybee you will see 11 hp at the wheels...Oh and did anyone ask mr Cates if this 11 hp # was done at the flywheel or at the Wheels...I believe Stillen does flywheel HP when they advertise...So maybe expect 2-3 at the wheels..

I think headers by themselves will give a noticeable gain from what I've read. It's not just about reducing restriction to improve airflow. It's also about organizing the exhaust pulses in such a way that they don't bump into each other. A vacuum is created behind each pulse that should help suck the next pulse out faster depending on the design. Hmm....Would this mean that true dual exhaust isn't really the way to go? Can some experts elaborate on this?

That is exactly why I did not install the Borla headers after looking at what I would have to do. This is definitely an item that you want to make certain that you get the best headers for your particular application before you install them because you really only will want to do it once. BTW Jeff, $320 is really a deal!
