Default oiling a jwt popcharger

Hey guys,
I am going to install my popcharger in the next couple days, and after reading a few other threads, I am kinda concerned about the oil in the filter messing up the maf. Anybody actually have this happen to them? Have most of you oiled your popchargers or left them the way they come in the box? Any comments/help would be appreciated.

A light coat of oil is all that's needed. Spray it on, wipe off any excess, stuff some paper towels inside it over night, and install the next day. Try to keep it warm over night as well. Not sure how cold it gets overnight in NC this time of year.

It's nothing really to worry about it, just make sure there is no oil running out of the filter.

The pop charger comes pre oiled.....that is why it has the blue color. You don't really have to oil it for initial installation.

If it needed to be oiled, this would have been mentioned in the installation instructions.

Default Pre-oiled?

Don't they come pre-oiled? Isn't that why they're blue? If not, let me know...I've been driving with a dry popcharger for 3 days!

Yes they come pre-oiled. no need to oil before install..

the instructions posted above by ZedZed are for after the filter has been cleaned.

stupid question... does an oiled pop charger have a blue color? I got mine for christmas in 05' and it wasn't blue

does this mean I have been driving around with a dry popcharger for 5 months?
