Default Installed Injen CAI and ART pipes

It was good for the first 75 miles then yesterday on my way home from work the CEL came on. I have ready that ART pipes will not cause this. Can they or do I have another issue like a leak or something?

Dunno the code. I did a Ecu reset and hasn't come back in 30 miles so far. I got to get me a scanner. I maybe should have done that in the beginning?

I like the sound except the rasp between 2-3000 rpm. I have stock exhaust but a God speed exhaust on the way.

wow, you paid a pretty penny for the test pipes, but opted for the godspeed exhaust?
I am a little surprised.

From videos and cars i've seen/heard, the rasp will not get better with that exhaust = /.
I'm sure people will hear you coming though.

This is the exact set up I'm putting on my car at the end of the month. Only difference is up rev is coming at the same time. I woulda suggested up rev over the exhaust. It is my understanding the pipes should not be the issue, and have heard that some intakes in the HR can throw a code. Motordyne is a great company, give them a call and they'll help trouble shoot you. You really should have gotten the code, advanced auto parts will pull it for you. Chances are this is an exhaust leak though

I thought the ART pipes would eliminate the rasp, maybe after 1,000 miles the rasp will get better it did on my z1 motorsports test pipes. You need to do the x pipe mod on your god speed exhaust or you will have more rasp then you could even imagine

After listing to some clips on it the exhaust didn't sound to bad. However when I put it on I could be wrong. I already dumped 1000.00 between the intake and exhaust and I have to get new tires. Only have 14,000 but when I bought the car it had lowering springs and they did not change out the shocks. The rear shocks collapsed and caused the tire to wear down to almost nothing on the inside of the tire. For $359.00 if I don't like it I will just replace it soon. If I like it then money well spent.

I have read even from Motordyne that there will be rasp more so with stock exhaust. It is just allot less then with regular test pipes.

Didn't think about autozone. If it comes back on I will do that. So far so good after reset of the ECU. Maybe I am hoping that it was because I didn't reset it in the first place after the two installs at the same time.

^ I do not know if AutoZone will pull the code for you, but I know for a fact that Advance Auto Parts will pull the code for free.

You likely have catalyst deficiency codes.

I am dealing with the same issue, but I just have ART Pipes + Shockwave exhaust.

Supposedly UpRev tune can fix it but I'm not sure how it would affect the downstream (lower cat) sensors going in closed-loop condition, screwing up the AFR, and making your ecu think you need more fuel.

With uprev you can completely remove the code that is thrown from removing your cats. That way it cannot be tripped and turned on, so if you throw a CEL you know its something else and to check it out.

But OP I have a question for you Regarding the Injen CAI and the install. Do you find that on the right side (passenger side) where the intakes come through the hole, and down in front of the radiator, that you have fitment issues? Im referring to the 90 degree hose / pipe right there that goes into or out of the resevior (i believe its for the AC??) I noticed mine sits on top of it, and is causing it to kind of sit higher, and actually pushing on the front bumper. On that side of the car, at about 5 MPH and slowing down, I notice a distinct vibration / rumble over in that side of the car, and wondering if thats causing it. Plan on taking off the bumper to check it out this weekend, any input would be great.

At first I had the codes / sensors disabled due to me having dummy sensors to plug my ART pipes for the time being. After a week, I had working o2 sensors swapped in. My CEL came on few days after that. I've noticed I got horrible gas mileage for mostly highway driving. Brought my car back to my tuner because of CEL (caused by bank 2 thinking it's running lean) and I brought up the poor gas mileage issue. He said my car ended up running in closed loop operation, and ECU kept thinking one of my banks wasn't getting enough fuel, so kept feeding more and more. I had ~17-18mpg mostly highway driving during that time. Afterwards, he re-enabled my sensors so they are working as stock. MPG back to normal (I think). Avging about same or a little worse than pre-tune/pre-ART pipes.

So I guess you can still throw a CEL for bank issues even with the downstream/lower sensors disabled. Just FYI.
