Default Single vs Dual exhaust for FI?

I have an 03 and whoever had the car before me said he put an aftermarket exhaust on it but it looks like a 2.25'' y pipe, 2.5'' max.

Would i get better performance and sound out of a 2.5'' true dual exhaust? or should i get a 3'' Y exhaust? Or some kind of H exhaust?

I want a nice sound but I'll probably put silencers on it because I don't like it too loud always...I just want the most power and good sound and I want whatevers best for when I turbo the car

Search button works well for this kind of question. I was just wondering what is your budget for said turbo.

Just leave the exhaust that's on it now if you're worried about being too loud. You won't notice a difference changing the exhaust, just the sound.

I cant find a 3'' dual exhaust for under $1k...

on ebay i found 3'' Y exhausts and 2.5'' dual exhausts for under $300 so which one is more powerful? And which is better for a turbo...and the dual exhausts on ebay have massive 4.5 inch tips which i dont want but i dont see anything smaller i guess i can put silencers on tho...my silencers now are 3.75''

Do a lot of research in the F/I section. If $1k is an issue you should not be considering F/I... period.

Perhaps I should move this to the F/I section, but I will leave it here for a while.

just fell out of my chair. I knew said turbo was a long shot. Close the thread before some serious flaming ensues.

That's not the case with FI.
