Default Is this motordyne xyz pipe worth it?

Like I'm wondering if it's worth trading it for the stock one I have and if it's a good price for it?

wrong section but yes.

I'd get the entire ART Pipes + Shockwave exhausts though, not just Y pipe. Eventually you'll want more mod after mod. Just get all at once and be done and get a tune.

I don't think it comes with all that. And um I wouldn't know how to install them because I don't have ANYTHING to do it. Also, when someone says to tune your car after a mod does that mean altering the cars computer?

ART pipes replace your cats. The Shockwave exhaust comes with the Y pipe + everything back. You basically get complete system minus headers. Just get a mechanic to install for you.

Tuning = reprogramming the ECU to maximize power with efficiency via proper alterations of air fuel ratio

Technically it has a hfc at the end of the y pipe, so shouldnt that be considered legal?

Im gonna be putting one in next year.

Legal or not legal isn't the problem. It's more of you being able to pass emissions. You can always swap your stock cats back on and do emissions then swap the ART pipes back on.

So I guess in your case, just get the Shockwave exhaust. It's plenty good on it's own over stock.

While you may be able to pass emissions, messing with an otherwise working cat is illegal. IF you are caught, you're subject to a hefty fine. If the cat fails, you're still limited to what you can replace it with, and where you can put it. Has to more or less be a stock-like replacement, in the stock location.

http://www.catalyticconverter.org/law/index.htm

4. In cases of OBD Il-equipped vehicles (1996 and later), the O.E. manufacturer's 8-year/80,000-mile warranty must have expired and a legitimate need for replacement must be established and documented.
Please note that Federal law prohibits removal or replacement of a properly functioning O.E. converter.

When replacement of the converter is appropriate (as outlined above), the E.P.A. further requires that:

1. It be installed in the same location as the original
2. It be the same type as the original (i.e., two-way, three-way, three-way plus air/three-way plus oxidation)
3. It be the proper model for the vehicle application as determined and specified by the manufacturer
4. It be properly connected to any existing air injection components on the vehicle
5. It be installed with any other required converter for a particular application
6. It be accompanied by a warranty information card to be completed by the installer.
