Given it's a intake that moves the throttle body...there were bound to be issues.

im not too sure what you're upset about. maybe i missed it, but in no post does it say it will fit under the stock hood, just that he suspects it will. i do see that he had it installed on a g35 which doesn't have a stock hood. take that how you will

HR hood and cut out the inner frame of it to fit where it rubs!

Edit:

Or hav whoever stagger the design downwards!

I'd think you would have figured out there may be a clearance prob with this baby
using your hood.I'm guessing that you have a clearance issue...expected us to know that
from your one sentence post.
Just wonderin what indeed this beautiful manifold's power benifits are?At first glance,
looks like an exhaust part!It sure looks good, put does it perform as good as it looks?
Like a chick in a sexy dress.....you get the idea.
Just get a new hood or trim the supports of your hood(possible?)for the needed space.

He says he got it from a guy that got it from a guy with a G35. He says he never installed it nor did his seller.

Sorry it doesn't close but thems the risks we take when we mod.

I will admit, I laughed with that one... +Rep haha

As for the manifold. The original seller of the kit who had it on his G35 had a stock hood. But it looks as if the engine may sit a little lower in the G's than it does on the Z.

Know anybody with an HR? See if you could test fit their hood? Or try to find a damaged one if you really want to keep the manifold. As mentioned before. May be able to use that plus trim a way to use it.

This is all part of buying one-off or custom pieces.

Lower the engine? Or at least suggest it on your FS thread.

I say you cut the hood and make it fit like that. It would look like two big veins bulging through your hood. Probably relatively symmetrical and would help with engine temps. Not for everyone, but could look good.
