PPE Longtube Headers
Well they're in. That was a fun lil project lol. I only took it down the street but the midrange difference is easy to feel right away. I swear its quieter at idle. I already had a raspy setup and this actually brought it down a bit, the drone went down also. Wierd, but my setup only has 1 muffler and no resonators.
I have a few loose ends to finish, random stuff like the rear crank sensor harness wants to lay on top of the header. Then I can give a full review. Also I didn't have the issue with needing 2 gaskets for the passenger header -> Y-pipe. The Passenger header did touch the underbody heat shield but once I tightened it to the rest of the exhaust I gainged some clearance.
Edit: Also I have some tuning to do. The fuel compensations and A/F is all over the place at idle.

Yes. Stock HR headers -> TP's -> custom exhaust I made that is 2.5" y directly to a 3" Magnaflow muffler to dual 2.5" that expands to dual 3" to 5" tips.
I basically copied motordyne.
Since I had not followed this thread, this question might be obvious. Sorry if it is. I did hear of these headers & even met the RDZ guys. Good guys. Where can I find something posted showing performance gains in an HR.Z.

I'm not doubting them, but the absence of dynos is perplexing to me.
Even dynos I scrutinize
No dynos you say.Any 1/4 mile tests?

Thats the one from their site. I think thats 512z?
The pic links are broken.

DE's have inferior headers, changing them & H.P. robbing cats will give you substancial H.P. gain. PPE headers would do that.
HR's have excellent factory headers. Eliminating just the cats will also give you substacial H.P. gains.
That's why before I spend money or even jump in & complicate my life, I would like to see reasons why I should do this. A 10 whp gain would give me a tenth or more. So I am looking, and I am interested in anything that can help me.

We'll since sandy vagina came through through and went menstrual on us, I've had free time off work to clean up the tune. Fuel compensations were all over the place. I guess its a good sign that the computer was trying to add fuel everywhere pretty much. I confirmed my suspicion by taking my girl for a ride, my cruising drone is almost completely gone. Best accidental side effect ever.
I can't wait till the roads around here are cleaned up, so I can really test her out.

Can you tell me what year is your car? What mods do you have? Do you have a Dyno chart. Thanks alot. That would be helpful.....
Not trying to get off topic here, but anyone with a Revup try these yet? trying to see how much they would benefit over my MR headers and ART pipes on my built motor with JWT S7's and 11:1 compression, I dynoed around 302whp but trying squeeze out a couple more horses
Unless the headers are trash, it's unlikely you'll get anything from changing them out for these. You *might* gain a very small amount of high end, but you'll pay in the low end.
Should be some good gains. If I was going back to SEMA tomorrow I would talk to PPE about it.
They do remember building the only set of stepped DE headers. Really thinking about adding a reducer for now, till i get the new happy motor built. Just want to play with what i have for now. Next week i should finally get some (street) tuning done, then its time to find a local dyno day just to see what its got.
