Not really concerned since I'll be going with a tomei expreme ti. Just don't want it sounding funky for the mean time.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Putting these one first while still having a stock exhaust is one of the closest things to full retard.

I am aware of some flow restriction and not gaining the power I should.

You will be fine , I would probably just get the exhaust side of things first.

Not a fan of single exhausts, but wow, did that sound good.

Sounds great! I just finished my suspension and I have another week or two off of work so I guess it's time to start on the cams and headers on my car. I'll be hooking the PPE's to a stillen y pipe and agency power single exhaust. I hope it sounds good and makes good gains.

Reading this thread from time to time, I've never seen anyone with similar fitment issue like mine. I'm beginning to wonder if I got the wrong header for my car or just won the lottery on build variation . What exactly is the physical difference between HR and DE version? Correct me if I'm wrong, they're interchangeable and you can get both version in stepped and non-stepped.

The only difference between the two is the connection between the header and test pipe.

Wish I could get these. Unfortunately my Z is daily driven and has to pass emissions. Here in CT we have visual inspections for cats. I don't feel like having to go through all that trouble to put the stock headers and cats back on for emissions. I have to go the shorty headers/test pipe route.

Why? Buy some universal high flow cats from summit and have them welded in behind the long tubes.

Anyone taking 20 hours to do this is drinking too many beers during the process. Did use almost every extension, swivel, ratcheting wrench and offset wrench I own though so tools are imperative.

So, I see that RDZ is no longer a site vendor. Anyone bought these recently and get any break off retail price from a vendor here?
Well... I'm back. Completed install yesterday. Thought originally I would do this solo and then had a friend show up anyways. I was glad he did, it helped to have a set of hands above the engine while I slid the manifolds in. I did have to remove the universal from the steering shaft, I think it might not be possible to do without that step... I tried 3 times. Now I'm worried about getting it back on with much less room! Headers fit great otherwise... on to installing motordyne TDX v2 today.

Just finished the install and notice that there is a little bit of rub between the steering shaft and header only when turning right. Has anyone had this issue ?

It's rubbin. It's mounted properly, it's a very basic install. Been trying to figure out why is it rubbing ?
