PPE Longtube Headers
Finally have the time to get the car dyno tuned this weekend with the headers. I'll give and update once I get the numbers. I going from ART and stock headers to PPE's and I know a lot of people have that set up. Hoping to hit 300 whp and 400+ with nitrous.
Finally got to tune my HR for the headers. Gain of 33whp NA and 40whp Nitrous. Needless to say...PPE's were more than worth it! I feel its a combo of the tuner but the quaility of the stepped headers. Each time it was tuned it was on a DynoDynamics dyno. The current tune was done on a newer dyno vs the prior one was on a dyno that was 8-9 years old.
Shout out to Hill's Garage for the tune! Wasn't expecting a gain for 30+ across the board.

It seems like most, if not all of you guys are running PPE's with a single exit or dual exit setup. Anyone in here running true dual's? I'm curious to hear how that would sound.
I've had the PPE's with both the Motordyne TDX2 and the Invidia Gemini (current setup). I am cammed, so exhaust sound is slightly deeper, but:
With the Motordyne TDX2: clean, droneless sound 3500RPM+. At WOT, it literally screams. I actually had someone get out of their car at a stoplight, come over to my car and ask what exhaust setup I was running.. thought I was going to get robbed <.< As a daily driver though, there is some drone presence at low RPM. The setup is loud, but sounds amazing overall.
As for the Invidia Gemini, much much quieter.. I would say a good 25-35% reduction in noise level (which was my reason of swapping - noise regulations). It's actually slightly quieter than the TDX2+ART's, but deep at low RPM. Still sounds decent, but no where near as aggressive as the TDX2+PPE.
I was happy with both setups. If I didn't have local noise regulations, I would've gladly kept the TDX2+PPE.

I'll try to dig something up but I don't think I have any clips with the PPE's. Best way to explain it would be it sounds the same as ART+TDX2+Stock Headers up to ~2500 or ~3000rpm, then opens up to a clean, race-like note. Some rasp, but sounded great IMO.
No emissions testing where I am -- no cats.
On a side note, for those who can pass with HFC's, Motordyne does make HFC (200-cell count) midpipes that you can order separately, or as an additional charge if you're placing a new order (for their TDX2 that is).

The only problem with the XYZ mid-pipe is I want to keep my Gemini setup. So that's the only thing holding me back from swapping. I need LTH, w/cats, and maintain true dual...ya I'm needy.
On a different thread a guy suggested welding in stillen cats like these (below) I guess. The tough part about that is, I would be fully committed to that setup since it would need to be welded in. And I would probably have to cut out the resonators on the Gemini to put the cats right there. So I would probably lose that nice low tone. So much fab needed, so little money, and definitely more questions than answers.

Hmm, that doesn't look too much different than my current setup. It just looks like regular shorties welded to a cat...not saying it wouldn't perform better, it just seems like its the exact same setup I'm running now.
To me, this doesn't look like a LTH setup with a cat. I figure if you're going to add a cat to LTHs, it would be near the end. In my simple mind the pic below makes sense to me on where to the cats. But PPE knows what they're doing, I'm just skeptical of their setup.

Anyone with PPE have these codes pop up? My PPE came with the J connectors for the rear O2 sensors, so I thought i wouldnt need to do the non foulers.
I've had these codes twice, just want to see if adding the non-foulers will help with this.
Thanks.

I ran OBX Long Tubes on my car untuned, I never threw a code, but when I finally did take it in to get tuned, I was running pretty lean. I suggest getting tuned for what you got and it will be allllll better.
Oh ur running 370z obx long tubes ?...what gains did u get from them
Forgot to mention this, but yes I am tuned. Using Osiris and its tuned by a forum member here.
These codes came on while cruising on the highway. At the track the CEL never came on.
I've had p2a00 & p2a03 combo twice and one time it threw a p0137 & p2a03 combo.
even with the cel, the car drives fine.
