Another JWT Popcharger Air Box Idea (cheap & looks ok)
Not late at all...all opinion and comment welcome, positive or negative.
The goal in this was merely to find a low cost method to mitigate the popchgr from gulping hot air when the car is at a prolonged standstill. I think it is widely accepted and agreed it is not an issue when moving at speed.

JWT provides a heat shield that seals to the hood and looks a million times better.
Stock airbox and a K&N drop in if you really want a CAI in a box.
Your mod is a kick in the nuts to any sane Z owner.

Also it is good to look for an intake that has a velocity stack. Cobb?s intake uses a velocity stack that smoothens out airflow as its being sucked in to the turbo/engine. This helps reduce the amount of turbulence flowing inside and past the Mass Air Flow Sensor. If there is too much turbulence, it will disrupt the readings and can trigger a check engine light. It can also make your car run ?lean? as the ECU is not able to accurately read the amount of air being sucked in. It can also cause your car to idle rough and in turn make your car run like crap.

You still need to address where you should be drawing air from.
