Default Exaust piping size question

Hello everyone,

My friend owns an 03 G35 and recently had his exhaust done. It was custom made, stock piping, resonator delete, camaro magnaflow and stock tips. It sounded pretty darn good. It sounded even better when he gave it the beans. He says, though, that the sound is just a tad bit lower than what he expecting. I was wondering if i took the same setup but increased it by .5? Would that cause any problems? I have an 04 AT with around 118k. Thank you!

Get resonated test pipes if you want more noise.

Id say stay around 2.5"Independent pipes unless he is going to go Forced induction.

On a scale of 1 to 10, maybe around 5/6 beans? I usually don't push it too hard, maybe get it to 5k on a good week, and i don't plan on going FI .

Id say stick with 2.5 true dual if you can. Anything larger will be pointless. Unless you merge them into a single pipe.

He's giving it a moderate amount of beans. Not enough that he gets excessive gas, but enough that he wishes he had bigger pipes and made more noise.
