Default Berk hfc not as loud as art pipes

Hey guys,

I just installed berks paired with my nismo and for some reason they are A LOT quieter than my old setup with art pipes and nismo. Any reason for that? Everyone said the art pipes would be a bit quieter than hfc, but this is a big difference. Could there be something wrong with the berks?

I agree.
I also had ART pipes with a Nismo S-Tune.Changed to HFC's(ZI Motorsport).
It is quieter.ART pipes are a test pipe with attachments to manage the sound.
They still are test pipes.

Were the Berks in good condition?

I would say that most likely this is a normal thing for your TP setup to be louder

Sorry no refund lol. It is weird, like we talked the HFCs were louder when it paired up with my exhaust. Kind of surprised when its the opposite on a differen exhaust.

I would think that test pipes will always be louder than hfcs just because they have no restriction while the hfcs are still cats

^^Thats what we would think. But that shouldnt be the case when you have z owners who have switched from hfc to art, or tp to art and say arts are def quieter. Even tony from motordyne has said arts are slightly quieter than regular hfc/tp. The difference in sound between my old art/nismo setup and my current berk/nismo setup isnt a small difference, its night and day.

Just a hunch, maybe you had a slight exhaust leak on your last setup which made it significantly louder. Just a thought.

Would a slight leak make that big of a sound difference? It sounded great, deep and loud. Could have been a leak. Now I'm afraid if I get the arts it won't replicate my old setup and I'm going to try and bolt it on so there is a leak haha

I think I forgot to mention that when I ran the HFCs I had xyz pipe with the resonator module. Maybe that has something to do with it?

Usually HFCs are quieter than Testpipes. The honey comb does most of the volume control
