Default Crawford cats

I am buying a Crawford cat this evening. And was wondering what the hp gain should be. My car is stock.

I didn't do a before/after dyno, but I loved my Crawford hfc's. I still have them; got the MD art pipes installed. Basically everything Crawford makes is high quality; their hfc's are basically the primary cat material removed with the secondary section still in place including the heat shield; fitment is great.

Sounds good thank you I just found used one with 5000 mileish on them for 150. Where the bots all corroded when you tried to take them off. If so what is the spay stuff you can put on them to help loosen them

That is a great deal! You will love them and you "will" get some whp/tq gains from them. You may need to just get new bolts; the old ones can get heat warped, so I'd get new ones. I don't know if you are getting the used gaskets on the Y-pipe side or not; may need them also. The 2 gaskets to the manifold side are metal and can be used again.

The cats came with no hardware. So my question is should I use washers. If so one on head side and nut side or just one or the other

No need for washers. I used regular nuts and bolts from Home Depot and they've been holding fine for 4k miles.

Yeah, you are probably fine without them, but my Crawford's were new, as were my ART pipes; they both came with bolts and washers. Post up how you like the hfc's! Good luck with it all.

In Havelock, you were passing Sonic heading west. I was in my Jeep though.
