Default Plenum and Pop charger a good start?!

Hey guys! I'm brand new to this forum and a brand new proud owner of a 03 super black base model Z. I just picked it up about 3 weeks ago and with about 106k on it. Everything was kept stock and everything feels amazing (to me but this is my first Z). I've always wanted one since I was in middle school and finally my dreams came true. So I plan on modding if very mildly and was doing some research on Plenum spacers and JWT pop charger and have seen very few negative feedbacks on them. I just wanted some insight if thats a good starting point. Also would they effect DEQ since I maybe moving down to CA some time later this year? Please don't slash me too hard... I'm a total newB with Z's lol

Congrats on your new Z!
A Popcharger is a traditional "right of passage" for Z owners.
From my experience, many new owners go new to a exhaust system.
Although,a spacer is a common sense add with the P Charger.
I don't think you moving to CA is gonna effect your car.
You may consider an exhaust system and HFC's as you future mods.
Remember to follow these add ons with a tune or your car is not going to
be working to the max efficiency.

The most basic and low-cost mods people do right away are:
JWT Popcharger
Exhaust
Test Pipes
Plenum Spacer

When a little more money is available:
Wheels/Tires
Lowering Springs

Yeah sounds like a good starting point and welcome to the Z world. FWIW I have one of these laying around if you're interested. I loved how it sounded with my pop charger.

I just haven't got around to posting it in the 'market' place.

Why not? I hear that its basically the same thing if not better than some CAI's from what i've read I was thinking of running the pop charger and getting the CF tube to make it looke "pretty". So far I haven't read of any intake that is much better?

I'm running a JWT popcharger, AAM angled plenum spacer, and a Invidia Catback exhaust.

Currently living in CA, and I pasted smog no problem last month. I've heard of some HFC's passing, but you're pushing it.

Smog Technician actually complimented my exhaust

poopcharger = super heat soak. if anyone believes the heat sheild is really doing anything they might as well throw in a turbonator and a ebay chip
