The 350 is a sports car and not a civic so parts are gonna be more expensive and it'd be a shame to fit something that was 'all show and no go'. MCM's also dispels the spurious claims of some manufacturers by running cars on a dyno to prove that at best these filters only offer an increase of 2 to 3 hp, something that you're not going to notice when in the seat.
that test was done on a 1.3 or 1.7 l car so it would have made more of a difference on a 3.5 L. Also, they did a test on a turbo car too. Makes no sense as to why they ran that test when most people that worry about that stuff is people that do NA bolt ons.

Did you get the polished aluminum? It's around that price. I got the blue powder coated one. And 330 is the cheapest I've ever seen. It lists for 420

Nismo= warranty, better engineering by people who designed the car, better sound, fits perfectly with no problems (because the people that made your car made the part), looks great and proven performance numbers that outperforms almost all aftermarket intakes and cold air intakes. Plus your car is valued higher if you try to sell it since it has genuine Nissan designed parts instead of aftermarket tuners that will drop the value of your car even more. You want reference of this look at the S-tune and R-tune Nismo models values and the HR Nismo values versus the other models or normal market resale values of modified Z's with non Nissan performance parts. Those Nismo models are nothing special, all they are are Track 350Z's dressed up in a nice dress and some makeup yet their still valued higher. A nismo 370Z on the other hand not so much as the Z33 but they still have some makeup on.

I had dual AEM short rams on my HR for a while; I've thought for 5 yrs. that AEM (DC Sports) also made the Nismo dual intakes! Didn't make that up, I had read that years ago. Never heard anything different until now.

The reason they did that test was to prove that the claims of the manufacturers was total fiction and that the 'electric supercharger' was the same , total fiction. You've seen the ads when people sell their cars and all they've done is fitted a filter and magically their car now has an extra 20hp, you know and I know this is complete bollocks. So a 3.5litre engine sucks up a bit more air, still doesn't mean manufacturers of these filters are correct with their figures, they just want you to buy their product.
