DYNO Kinetix Velocity Manifold VS MD 5/16th spacer
I went to RT Tuning with the following mods.
TD exhaust
AAM test pipes
K&N filter
**Kinetix Velocity Manifold**
Vince had a car with the same mods, different brand (aside from the MD spacer,) in his logs and he compared my dyno with his. Both Z's were 04 5AT.
Here's the dyno results. Kinetix Z is in red:
As you can see the spacer DOES make more peak horsepower but that top end greatly benefits from the Kinetix. It helps the DE motor not fall flat on its face after 6000 RPMs. The kinetix actually makes more torque up until 4200 RPMs as well.
For my purposes, I like the Kinetix powerband better and think the Kinetix car will beat the spacer car through the 1320.

Lol, so it's not a controlled experiment. You're comparing 2 different cars dynoed on 2 different days so your interpretation of results may not be valid. Plus, you're only looking at what you want to see and then claiming it as fact while throwing everything else out. It is still interesting to see the power curve comparison, though.

I realize the main point of this thread is about the shape of the curve, but you did mention power/torque differences in your first post.
Also, did your tuner make any speculations as to why those mods give those curve shapes?

I really wonder how it would do with the 75mm throttle body. I believe the curved neck of the OEM manifold is what kills power over 6k , and the bend in the Kenitic manifold is a better flowing design. I wish i can the cash flow to do a lot of testing.

thats the deal...neither of you should be shifting at redline. neither of you are making power at redline.
the md's best shift point would be 6,200rpm
yours would be 6,400rpm.
the md makes more overall power in power band.
i can go on, but just line up against it and see for you self.
