I just bought an 04 350z base with test pipes and true dual straight pipes. The setup sounds awesome.. Love the sound except for the fact that at 3k to 4k an annoying rattling/whining/metal sound comes from the exhaust. It makes it sound like a fart can for a short period of time and it's completely ruining the mean sound of my 350. It only does it from 3k-4k.

Any ideas? Is it just because of the setup? Loose metal? Anything?

With straights &test pipes,thats what you get.
Prolly some smell too.

 

Get a x pipe from magnaflow or get resonated tp's and thatll fix your problem !

Do you have a sound clip of this set up? I have resonated test pipes with x02 exhaust, took off the mufflers to polish them. It was loud, made me think of blast pipes lol
