Most of the HRs at their shop make 290-300ish. 285 was the max they could get, and they had to make a lot of adjustments to get there. They said most of the cars that make 300 have cold air intakes. I would be happy with the same amount of power that I have now if it got rid of some of the problems. I think I could potentially gain a few more hp though

What shop are you taking it to? CAI won't give much power (1-5 HP at most) - some people have actually seen losses with them.
