Default Just installed exhaustcti

Just installed, thing sounds great, I'm incredibly surprised, the mufflers each had something rattle inside the top piece (like a little piece of metal. After having to grind and drill out 3 of the cat bolts, the 4th bolt was already drilled out when I did my clutch. Such a pita. Anyway thing is super quit but with a nice growl literally no rasp and you still here the VQ gonna post some vids tm. I'm thinking I don't even need the moterdyne x mod. I went with a 2.25 not a 2.5 system in hopes it wouldn't be low. The cops love me...... LI don't need any more reasons to get pulled over lol. Not sure if it's bc the pipe connecting to the old exhaust was cracked off so basicly was using no muffler. So loud. Not sure but I think I'm a little slower less torquey off the line. Overall for 260$ I'm pleased oh and fit was perfect and it's equally good hanging

Default Water leaking new exhaust

So water is leaking from prettying all the parts that connect, but it also doesn't sound like and air is coming out should I take each piece off and use a gasket sealant of some sort?

When I first installed my TDX2 system, I'd get little puddles of water; condensation always as car was cold start idling, never after running the car for a while. There aren't any gaskets on all of the V-clamp joints and condensation can cause a drip here and there on those joints; mine were worse at the axle back joints which slope down some.

This happened a few times, but then it just stopped and never has shed a drop in past 2 yrs. I don't know why it did it when it was all new, but just wanted you to know it did it with me; not a perfect complete seal on those, but the exhaust is well known to be awesome. I snugged up the clamps and examined it all, but never did find any exhaust gasses leaking at all; hopefully you don't either.

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping it was just a break in sort of thing. Smelt pretty bad and had some smoke coming out once I actually drove for a bit today but that seemed to stop. Overal I really can't believe how good this thing sounds I looks deff wasn't expecting much out of a 260$ system hopefully it holds up untill I'm ready to go FI

What exhaust did you end up getting?

Sorry, having trouble reading your first post since it is just one long rambling sentence...

Sorry sending these from my phone.

Cheap knock off it cost me 230$ shipped to the door in under 5 days. I went with 2.25 piping.

Overally extremely satisfied. Can I send video straight from my phone on here ill post a vid. Maybe you all can tell me if adding the xpipe will do anything.

Adding the x-pipe will tone down your exhaust note a little and bring back the vq "purr. " I have it on mine and it sounds like a deeper, louder, more aggressive growl than stock.
