Default Just installed CBE but doesnt sound right

just installed the system myself but it doesnt sound right when idling, sounds like its not flowing as well as it should (sounds nice when reving though). Anyone know the reason why it sounds like this?
all the piping are lined up as far as I can see. the car backfires a little as well.

might need to turn up the volume.

At work so can't listen to the video, but if everything is installed properly and looks fine, just give it a few days. Exhaust systems usually need a few days of driving to really "break in."

It will get louder and the smell will go away.

It sounds like others I have heard, but I feel like it may be a crappy Mic. Mine just has a deep tone at idle where it almost sounds like a muscle car, but sounds like a diesel when accelerating inside the car, but I know its actually a bit raspy...

Ps- nice mayday parade collection, I actually seen them live one year at warped tour, they were just as good as I expected.

to me it goes back to the age old saying..... you get what you pay for. with a $300 exhaust you are not going to get the quality or sound of something higher end

do you still have stock cats or test pipes

This! Just watched the video on my lunch break. Does not sound good, but as Travlee mentioned, you bought a cheap exhaust.

Hmm didn't think about that. But would it really make thaat much difference? Cause at idle mine just sounds like a deep rumble similar to a muscle car, where as op's sounds nothing like that really, just sounds like all the exhaust notes were jumbled together where mine makes a "plat plat plat plat" sound his is just like "plaaaaaaaaaat" with no break....

Am I making any sense to you? It's hard to really describe in words rather then sound lol.

the tone will change when everything warms up.... but that is weird. did you happen to take pics of all the exhaust laid out in place before you installed? if so post them up

when reving /acceleration/deceleration it sounds like it should sound but in idle it sounds weird and it feels like loss some power.

Another question, is it normal for the cats to leak fluid (I think it's water) on cold start ups?

ll upload the sound clip of mine with a magnaflow x- pipe the video is very very vlose to what it sounds like in person. It may be a crappy mic on your end that makes your video sound bad. Compare what mine sounds like compared to yours.

sorry i forgot to mention that this exhaust had the worst fitment, all the hangers on the right side were welded in the wrong spot so I had to make a spacer gasket so it would reach the mid pipe (because the pipe was an inch short). the left side however was a perfect fit but makes the same sound as the right side

unfortunately, thats how it really sounds. You can hear it exactly like that just sitting in the car at the lights.

my exhaust rumbles like that on start up, but after its warm the rumble goes away and all you can here is the air coming out

I reccomend getting the magnaflow x-pipe and having the exhaust move the hangers. It will have alot less drone and rasp.

I recommend saving up and getting even a semi high end exhaust. Not telling you to get a 2000$ exhaust but that sounds awful.

Just hearing the air come out is exactly what I'm saying, but it has a deep rumble to it, even on cold starts.

The fitment on the right side on mine was pretty off too, the tail pipe was about and inch too short but I got the bolt to go in and it lined up pretty well but it works just fine, no leaks, but again, cheap exhaust, fitment barely off, definitely had some top end power via butt dyno, so its worth the money in a way. More of a temporaryish kind of thing.

Edit-also the one I haves y pipe piece is more of an h pipe if I could upload pics via phone I would show what I mean
