Such a tough choice. I just had my Nismo exhaust installed and I'm really considering which cats I want to get. They all have really great write ups. Choices, choices.

R/T's are 50 State CARB approved and come with a sticker and paperwork to prove it. This, however, even though 50 state legal... isn't legal in SOME states..... go figure??? Always check your local laws if you are concerned. For me if R/T dosen't do something to improve their customer service dept, I will dump them and check into running someone else's product. Of course only after a fit /finish/dyno review on my car first.

Wha?!!! Jeff, R/T is not helping you guys out with the fitting issues and possible lean conditions? Is that what you mean?

There is no lean problem that we have found to be the case caused by R/T Cats as opposed to test pipes or other Cat's.... but that's another thread going right now. My issue with R/T is customer service. When/if my customers... you guys... have an issue, I want to handle it 100% and make you happy no matter what it takes. With R/T "IF" anyone has a problem I'm supposed to direct them to R/T for assistance. If I just take them back used or broken, I can't get a replacement and I eat the product. This is not my idea of customer service to me. Now thankfully the cat's are very high quaility so this hasen't been too much of a problem .... YET.

That's hard to say... any are better than stock!! R/T is VERY high quality, but we are looking into the Kinetix right now as well. We will have to look at the build, flow bench results, and their customer service to draw a true conclusion. Of course this will only be our opinion so take it for what it's worth.

Just installed the RT cats today... I already had Borla headers and the Borla exhaust...

I didn't experience any fitment issues... The cats bolted right up and fit perfectly... really, I was actually waiting for problems based on few posts I read on this forum, but the install was a snap and took me about a hour to complete.

The thing I noticed when I started it up for the first time was funny... My friend and I are looking at each other waiting for some loud exhaust note, but nope... it sounded a bit louder than the stock cats at idle, but not much....

So we took it for a test ride... At first I was listening for rattles, or any funny noises, but nada, no rattles... Great...

So we hit the parkway... Easy on the entrance ramp, through the e-z pass lane, and then I dropped the Hammer - and oh my god, the car now roars over 4K rpms, and gets louder and angrier all the way up to redline, shift second gear, shift third gear, ahhh the music coming out of the exhaust is AWESOME!

Butt dyno says there's more punch, we'll find out how much more later this week.
