Default 3inch straight pipe question

Yes yet another straight pipe question, I have a ebay (haters are welcomed) 3 inch catback exhaust with a 3 inch y pipe. Stock cats, and a kinetix ssv manifold. I am currently NA but i want to delete my muffler (aka do 3 inch pipe from the rear axle all the way out) my question is, will this cause me to loose alot of torque? Do you reccomend keeping the exhaust setup I have now or go ***** to the wall(i want it louder than it is now but hopefully with no rasp if i do the straight pipe) Trolls please save your comments I dont need that bs

Goodness.

What type off muffler do you have now? Expect rasp, and some loss of torque. Rasp probably won't be ridiculous until you replace the cats though.

I guess I didn't really need to know. You're going complete straight pipe but keeping the cats, correct? It'll be pretty load and some rasp. Removing the cats if you want it LOUD but with a lot of rasp when you're not WOT.

Hey guys i am looking for info on this same topic. i just bought a 03 and it came with pretty shakey ebay exhaust. My plan is to leave stock cats the way they are and have my exhaust shot cut the flanges off and continue the pit to a 2.5 inlet y-pipe and have it exit a 3". from there i will run single exit all the way to a can muffler. that was option one. option two would be to keep pipes separate off the cat and leave as a 2.5 and just run two pipes all the way out the back. are there any back pressure issues to worry about? I want as little rasp as possible but i dont want is quiet either.. I could also run this to a magnaflow or borla if i wanted to just dont know what would be best for performance and sound.
