Default Funny Info and Your Exhaust Opinions

Today i did some local researching for my Z, now that i will be getting a new exhaust system. I went to Marcos and Redline Performance (local tuner) to check out some options. The guys at redline loved my car, they are so used to see civic, integra, accord, eclipse all the time, it was a good change. When i told the guy about how i was planning exhausts he asked if i was going F/I in the future, i said hopefully in a year or so. He asked what kind, i said Turbo. He told me the best thing to do was go with the Vortech S/C, that its bolt on with an immediate 600 hp to the wheels. LOL!!! I almost laughed in his face. They don't see Z's though too often, so its just things he hears.

Anyway, i have narrowed my exhaust options down to 2.

#1 RSR exMag GTII, Redline can get me it shipped for $712.

#2 A true dual exhaust, 2 HKS carbon/ti canisters with custom piping done at marcos. The cannisters will run me about $630 for both and marcos said about $200 for the piping. So roughing $850 for this setup.

I accidentally made an error in the top, the prices should be reversed. I agree reallyredZ, the cannisters are so cool and i would like having an original type exhaust systems that not everyone else has.

You have to go with what you like best for both looks and sound. Your opinion is the most important. I personally think the canister exhausts look like ricey crap and would never put one on my Z.

I actually even like the single ti/carbon tip bent upwards slightly. Kind of like an exhaust on a supra. Saves you another 300 bucks. Since you have done more research on this. Do they just weld these to the midpipe, or all the way to the Y pipe, or what?

make sure their good, good welds and mandrel bent tubes.

custom can be great or aweful, its custom though, so its never a sure thing on what the product will end up as.

Well I gained about about 20hp with Intake, Pulley's and HKS exhaust and cats. So I had some luck with my setup, someone has already done a 2 HKS Muffler exhaust with a Borla TD exhaust....I bet it would sound almost "too" loud.
