Question My car bogs/coughs during idle...flywheel? intake/exhaust?

Mods as below in my sig.
When after a drive, while stopped at idle, my car starts to bog...the idle coughs and not its not as smooth as I want it to be. Its like it puffs regularly. Only during idle tho, while driving the car pulls.
Is that the sign of my car running too lean? Or is it because of my Nismo flywheel?

Any help would be appreciated

check your oil cap; j/k.

well, i've heard of a misinstalled flywheel doin it. other than that, mayb just a sensor gone bad. runnin too rich would cause behavior like that; if u were too lean, u'd atleast hear some pinging.

Flywheel... I know someone who had to raise their idle to correct this.

I got mine bought and installed at Performance Nissan, wouldnt they adjust it after the install? Or I'll have to do it myself...if so, how do I raise the idle??

Idle raise via consult II

edit:
also check for loose hoses in your intake system.

hi check the hoses per chebosto suggestion. if the nismo flywheel is lighter (i do not know), then there will be a bit of momentum lost, which will make the engine more sensitive to small variations in the combustion process. easy fix is to raise the idle a bit. does the rpm bounce?? this is a sign of insufficient flywheel moment which would be fixed by the idle. also, if the O2 sensor is messed up a bit, but not enough to trip the fix-the-engine-stupid light, then you might be running rich. smell the exhaust when you first start from cold (dont take too many sniffs!!) this is the rich smell. Then, get the engine good and warm, then sniff again *(run at least 10-15 minutes). This should smell quite different than the cold condition. if it still smells a bit gas-like, then your O2 sensor is dying- replace it. you should have also found that your gas mileage is not quite as good as before.
good luck

My G35 coupe does the same thing, esp. after I drive it hard for a while then idle. It did this before I installed the Z-Tube and Pop Charger, and I still have the stock fly wheel, will be going to a JWT soon.

I think it's just the idle, mine is very low near 500, I think I'll have the dealer bump it up.

try resetting your ECU and drive it for a few days to see if re-calibrates.

the Z is not a smooth idling car at all due to its relatively large displacement for a V6...V6 is inherently the "roughest" running engines there are. What type of idle oscillation are you seeing at idle, if any?

Would running test pipes kill your O2 sensor also?
