CEL/SES light after test pipes
Hey all. Another Z newbie question. How are people getting rid of the Check Engine light/ Service Engine soon light when putting on the test pipes or is this a problem. When I had my Spec V and I started prototyping headers we found that becasue the primary cat was removed we would get a CEL light after a few miles. We solved this by welding a new O2 bung further down the exhaust after the afterlighter. This cleared it for a while but the only real solution for those of us who ran with no cats was to use an O2 sim. Is there a similar problem\solution on the Z or are people using the $.02 fix (ie: electrical tape over the light)?

I got my O2 sims from AEBS in Cali. when I had my Spec V. (Advanced Engine Breathing Systems). But I know Capser Electronics also makes some for Nissans. I would personally call Ben at AEBS. Great guy. Great shop. They build motors for people like Lisa Kubo, Dave Coleman, etc.
