Finally Installed mines today. But discovered I've made a mistake. Was using ChriM's PDF instruction and made the mistake of screwing the two posts down BEFORE the plenum was on
When I got to the end where two screw were needed to hold the top of the plenum down I thought I was missing the 2 screws (until later I discovered that I already screw it down).
Now I got to remove the Plenum again and unscrew the two

BUT Car runs find, no idle problems. I think air leaks from those two holes but not sure (sounds like blow off valves when I add gas)

Not to mention I drop one of the 12mm bolt for the strut down to the bottom of the car.

It's funny...I actually bet this thread pisses some people off.

I don't have a plenum yet, but I just want to add more praise to the pile. It is really refreshing to see a company step up and make things right. Not only that, as far as I have perceived, it didn't take months of hounding or fighting to make things right. This is the way business should be conducted. Great job!

I guess that means that I am close to getting mine!!!!!!! I must say that I was contacted and they assured that they see that my plenum was shipped out asap. Signs of a company that is here to stay and create a HUGE customer base. Thanks again for all of the hard work and look forward to the install!!!!!

I have the same sound... if you put your ear close to the plenum, the sound is coming from the engine itself (sucking in air), so you should be fine.. If you are not sure, take out those two hex screws and put some rtv on them and use loktite to tighten them down.

I also lost one of the screw, the engine cover screw, but I have no idea where it went.. not on the floor or anywhere.. oh well... as long as it's not by the belt inside the manifold

Yeah, took the plenum off and removed the two hex bolt. Man I thought it was one long bolt (Probably the confusion why I thought I was missing them) Reinstalled it, but one was a pain to get in (the plastic from the plenum got pushed up do to the mistake) so had to hammer down the bolt to break the plastic blocking the threads.
Finally installed right and sounds pretty much the same. One thing I did notice is a slight "gurgle" after I throttle it. Like a loud heart beat (might've just been mine heart )

One extra tip for those who has a grounding kit.
The one on the right which connects to the top of the plenum is the longest one. And when you have to reconnect it to the lower plenum, you will get alot of slack. On the other hand, the one on the left is shorter and must reach to connect to the lower Plenum. Hence, switch them. You get less slack on the right and less stretching on the left.

Another word of caution, even with the version that has inserts you have to be careful not to over torque, I did and the cork gasket instead of getting squeezed and forming a seal slipped off the flange and inside the plenum so no seal, this happened along the front where the seal is very narrow and apparently not glued on hard. Aslo if you over torque the two cent screws on the supports the cork seal will break appart.

Love the mod and idea but the seal needs to be revisited.

This is a good reason to use some Permatex on the bottom portion of the plenum before placing the new Kinetix on top. Just gaurentees a good seal and like westpak also said, DO NOT overtorque the bolts. 90 inch pounds is the absolute most I would torque them down.
