Default Test Pipes or High Flow Cats

Are test pipes getting more power then the cats? I don't have to worry with emissions laws and I'm going to eventually be FI. Test pipes are also cheaper and save weight. Besides emission standards, are there any advantages that high flow cats have over test pipes?

test pipes tend to have a raspy tone, but they are cheaper, lighter, and have a higher flow rate/hp increase than cats. thats about it.

may wanna look into the kinetix resonated test pipes.

I have no clue how they actually are as I dont have em, but get some opinions from those that do, I read they sound great; rather pricey though.

I hope you are not planning FI and Kinetix. Man, I think that would be a big mistake.

I had RT High Flow Cats and Test Pipes...

the RT Cats pull strong all the way to the top of the RPM range...

with the Test Pipes you feel the power roll off in the upper RPMs...

As you can guess... Im putting my RT Cats back on even though i LOVE the smell
