Too bad its not mandrel bent... The shop that did my exhaust does mandrel bent, believe it or not but mandrel bent helps the exhaust flow a lot smoother without disrupting the flow.

naw, you can tell it's not mandrel bent at the points where they made angles on the piping. when piping has mandrel bends, they have very smooth curvature without any folds. performance wise, mandrel bends make a very minimal difference. i do like your exhaust set up, though. nice job, very clean.

Ok well i see what you mean by how it's not mandrel bent, i just assumed it would be.

350ztn- it ended up $901.xx total. $300 per muffler shipped, $301.xx for the install/weld/piping etc. Took them about 3 hours i believe.

Illestjrz- Look at the second pic down, its from the rear. If you want another rear shot that shows more of the car than that ill post another.

joust75- at first it seemed really loud, but after it broke in over the last week its really mellowed out a lot. however, when i get on it, around 4k RPMs+, it will really scream up a storm. I dont think i will have any cop problems, its mild enough at low rpms that my mom and dad even think it sounds nice.

aparshall-
where did you get the mufflers from?

You're exhaust setup is my favorite looking exhaust setup i've seen so far.
I was thinking of going with nismo when i eventually get an exhaust...but for around the same price i love the more aggressive look of the HKS mufflers.

also,
do you think you could make some sound clips? i'd like to get a better idea of how loud and what this set up sounds like. If you can't do the clips, is there any exhaut for sale that you would compare the sound to?

thanks,
Rajiv

hndumafia- thank you for the praise, i havnt gotten a sound clip yet, although i hope to get an actual video clip within the next few weeks, i just need to borrow a camera from a friend. To compare it to anything, i would compare it to the clips released by Ultimateone or wicked4u2c, thats the closest, although i would say mine sounds slightly different with 2 outlets.

durobred-my piping is 2.5" with an x pipe. The guys with the single pipes basically all have 3" piping.

AParshall-
One question i think you missed was where did you get the mufflers?
I'm really liking the idea of *borrowing* your idea for the exhaust.

(edit) - also, do you think the mufflers would fit facing straight back instead of at an angle?

thanks!
Rajiv
