Yes you read it right. Options Auto has the ceramic set for $270 and the stainless ones for $356. Is this for real. Quick someone hit me.

Yes...

The deal is DC has ALWAYS distributed low cost... fair performing headers. I actually had a set of their 4 into 1s on my GSR. Not too bad a product.

More owners in "average" areas (i.e. not much salt)... find they aren't bad for a year or so, then start showing rust spots are welds, etc... Salty areas tend to avoid these as they don't last terribly long at all.

Knowing what I know about tham... expect Borla type gains. DC has never been ground-breaking with their products... HOWEVER their prices DO make it worthwhile to try them.

Should be a GOOD starter header for someone wanting to get into modding there car. Will give fair results, at a STELLAR price!

I have personally experienced this with a set of their headers on a Honda. With the amount of work involved in doing headers on the Z, this isn't an area I'd want to skimp on, have them go bad and have to do the install all over again. If anything, go for the stainless.

Interesting, now the picture for the ceramics do show 4 outlets, and we know we would only have 3, so this is not our exhaust pictured. Do we have a picture of the ones for our car??

Also, the dynos that were posted earlier were quite impressive in comparison to the other headers out there for our car. It gained a peak of 12.4 rwhp at 6000 rpm on 350Zteve's stock car. The Nismos advertise 13 rwhp gained at it peak. The Stillens say 11.5 rwhp at 6200 rwhp, but they also say like 18 lbs of torque at like 3800.

Now you have to read what maserom posted on the DC headers closely, cause he did reverse the numbers. But it shows like 11.4 lbs of torque at 3800 rpm, which is alot less than the Stillens at the same rpm. The Nismos do say 13 lbs of torque at their peak, although some independent ones do show a little more torque.

From these numbers, I do gather that for the money, they are the best bang for the buck, as the rest out there are twice as much and only outperform them slightly. They seem like a much better deal then say the Borlas, which aren't equal length and these are equal length. Seems like a good deal, and a real interesting option.

The part number on Opt Auto shows as a pair on the DC Sports web page. You can always call or email Opt Auto to find out for sure. But I think they would sell the set. I've gotten some good stuff from them in the past. Great store.

I had a DC Sports 4-2-1 header on my Civic back in the day. Never had any probs with it. My buddy has been running one on his GSR powered Del Sol for about 2 and a half years and no complaints either. For the money they just might be worth it.

I just got my car back from DC on Friday. These are great, the craftsmanship is second to none. The gains from 4500 rpm are significant! Pulls quite a bit more at higher rpm's, plus the exhaust has a slighly deeper throaty sound to it. !!DC sports has been manuf quality performance parts for years, now we can take advantage of their great pricing for our Z's. No complaints.

I have the Borla dual on my car. I really regret purchasing the exhaust because it sounds too stock for me. How does your exhaust sound now with the headers? Is it a big difference in sound? Some sound clips would be greatly appreciated.
