Default JWT pop charger hiss under medium load?

I've had a few intakes before but this is my first 350Z intake from an idle if I blip the throttle it sounds like any other intake out there nice blurp sound but this is the first intake I've heard that makes a hissing sound around medium throttle

Im guessing it's normal since theres nothing stuck in it

also my thoughts on the charger....

It sounds no where near as loud as I thought it would Civics with short or cold air intakes gain A LOT more sound

not that I mind since Im installing my exhaust as soon as it gets here =) hehehe

Yeah and and a civic is a 1.6-1.8L 4 banger... What do you expect? This motor is going to suck more air

Im SO glad my popcharger isnt as loud as some riced-out intake on a Civic LOL!!!!! (I say riced out because Civics are NOT sports/performance cars which is why they sound like $hit with mods). You cant spit shine a turd. i.e. a Civic is great for what it is...an economy car.

The hiss is normal...its suppose to happen.

I have had both the AEM CAI and the JWT pop charger. Both of them have the hissing sound. If you don't like it now, chances are it will grow on you.

I don't mind the hissing sound its just kinda weird not your normal CAI sound

Don't get me started on the civic talk lol
My old civic sounded better then any 350Z I've heard even the SC 350Z at the VA meet

the Z however is a real sports car and has a great all around feel to it

if I wanted to go fast in the 1/4 mile the 350Z would not be my pick
I would pick a civic anyday over the 350Z

If your talking stock, you'lle get no where with a civic. If your talking a significantly modded civic, get ready to replace the motor at least three times a year... Z is a real sports car like you said.

i finally got around to installing my popcharger last week and i love the sound all around. It didnt make a huge difference besides the hissing but it defintly gives the engine a meaner grunt, and the hiss is growing on me. Oh man, I park my car in a large enclosed parking garage and when im driving around in there everyhting just resonates really well and when i get on it a little the hiss is wonderful
