Default JWT popcharger ECU reset. Need advice

Installed it. Did some gtech runs. Car is faster. https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....threadid=68486

I didnt reset my ECU after the install. Should I of? What is the purpose of resetting the ECU? Won't the ECU eventually adjust?

Would of used searched, but it's down. I'm not getting any SES lights or anything either. Looks good so far. Advice?

Thanks Dave. See, my friend (painprophet sorry to call you out bro) reset his ecu after his popcharger install. His car is throwing out codes now. His SES light is still on.

Won't be resetting mine unless I experience problems.

I would say just leave it alone. If the idle is good now and gets bad later then that usually means filter oil on the MAF.

Sounds good doesn't it?

I dyno'd my car then installed the pop charger. My a/f ratio before the pop charger was 12.8-13.2. After the pop charger my a/f ratio was 14-18. I then reset the ecu by simply disconnecting the neg battery lead and then driving around for about 15 minutes. My a/f ratio was back to the 12.8-13.2 range. All of this was done within a 2 hour period on the same day.

If you don't reset the ecu you will probably run lean until the ecu has had a chance to learn the new mod which I assume could take 100-200 miles.

Thanks guys. Vandyz, sounds AWESOME.
Cinerg1, I've already put the 100-200 miles on the car

Hopefully the car doesnt run lean, but I guess thats what knock sensors are for just in case
