It shouldn't feel like it is going to stall. Had mine in for about 6k miles and never had that problem. Did you make sure to unplug the battery during install? You are supposed to put in a new filter every 14k miles i think. It says when to change the filter on the instructions

Actually, you can just recharge the K&N Filter its ment to be reused. Just buy a cleaning kit and re-oil it.

How do you like the Injen intake other than the idle problem? Is it the new one or the old one?

lemieux...I have the same idle problem with the stock intake. However.. i did get a polished plenum installed (which requires seperating the stock intake from the intake manifold) and according to computer tests it is because of a intake gasket leak. I bet you have the same problem.

After idling for a bit my rpms dip down and the car stutters a bit like it wants to stall.

I am having an Injen intake installed next week so hopefully the problem will get resolved.

Hope that helps.

Curious... those have have the Injen intake. How much of a PITA is it to maintain? Having to take off the bumper to do this blows!

You jack up the car and take off the lower panel. Thats it!

Believe me, if you jack the car high enough (thats the key), and take off the bottom paneling you will see how much room you actually have to work.

You will also notice two holes for the mounting of the filter (kinda adjustable), if one hole fits better then the orher use it.

the problem with injen intakes is that they move the pcv hose to before the airflow meter instead of behind. this causes unmetered air to enter the engine at idle causing lean running conition(lean misfire)swap the factory top tube for the injen and move pcv hose back to factory location then plug port at airflow meter adapter.reset ecu re learn idle air volume and idle will be fixed
