Nismo Intake? Power Loss?
I found this and it makes alot of sense......
There is a plastic divider betwwen the bumber and the fenderwell. All of that cold air that flows through the bumper hits that divider and is diverted away from the filter. If you take it out, air will flow directly through the bumper to the filter. The plastic guards under your car serve a purpose. For lack of better words they enclose the bumper and partially seal it. When massive amounts of air hit the back of these guards it pressurizes the bumber. If you remove this one little shield, it will pressurize the area where the filter is located on the nismo/ aem intake, solving the problem of not getting fresh air! In fact I think it may get more air than where the airbox is. It makes the nismo intake like the injen with less bends. Thanks for the idea chebosto!
