Question best headers??

i know nismo has headers and borla and im sure theres some other companys out there also but what would be the best headers for price....horsepower...and installation? after i believe super street did a articla on the nismo vs. stock 350z i was kinda dissapointed in all of the nismo products...with all the nismo stuff on there z it only made the z 2 tenths of a second quicker than stock...whats everyone elses thought on headers?

if you have to do emissions tests get the stillen or the crawford, crawford is harder to install but will have better gains. if you dont have emissions i gotta recommend the xerds as longtubes rock and provide good gains.

Hey powertrip, how do you like your xerd headers? Can you feel the gain? Do they sound nice? Also, on it's web page it says that they take away the cats, does this mean you will not have to get test pipes now? Thanks

ya they are longtubes so the primaries merge where the cats were then meet at the y pipe. i love them felt very good gains, but they are kinda dirty. install was very easy too. sound is actually quieter than with test pipes but much much deeper.

If you believe everything you read then you will be in the dark. The article that you mentioned dosent tell you that they left on the stock cats. Change to a high flow cat (either Random Tech or Crawford) and then you wont be disappointed.

Default New guy here...

Hey all, new guy here. Since I am in the midst of the same thing, I thought I'd post.

Cost for me is an issue, but I wanted "bang for the buck." I went with the DC Ceramic Headers. I have spoken with a tuner who just bought these for his own Z. I don't have numbers (yet), but that is a pretty good testament, IMHO.

I also got the Kinetix Hi Flo Cats and the Borla TD.

The headers arrived today. The cats and Borla should be here tomorrow.

This install will likely be next week

Hey pimp, are you talking about my post? Because I never said they left them on. I said they had to take them off. Better get reading glasses.

I will be posting dyno results of DC headers when the shipment comes in. June 10th, I believe.
