Question NFC Motorsports Y pipe

I was looking at nfcmotorsports.com at their Y and Mid pipes and they appear to be cheaper than everyone else's. Does anyone out their either have their equipment or know anything about it?

I know the price is good, but if the performance and sound is not as good as some of the others out there I do not want to order them. Thanks.

I've got the pipe. Overall I'm quite pleased. The Y was perhaps 1/2" too wide but I'm suspecting the Kinetix cats for being the culprits as the OEM cat hanger brace no longer fits b/c they're too close together. The was enough flex in the Y pipe that I used a C clamp to hold the Y pipe in place as I bolted it on.

Sound is still OEM just a little louder (although it is noticable). Perfect for my goals. Lots of compliments on the growl exhaust note.

There is definitely mid range improvement although I am quite sensitive to vehilce changes. I was told by NFC that the Y pipe accounted for 6hp of their 10hp overall gain.

Finish was good to. You can't beat the bang for the buck (exhaust-wise).

Thanks for the responses. Would you suggest getting the mid-pipe as well or just the Y pipe. Thanks again.

Depends on your goals. I wanted to stay as close to OEM as possible. NFC told me that the mid pipe would make a substantial change in volume/note to the engine. For HP gains I would imagine the mid pipe accounts for the balance (ie: 4hp) to the quote 10hp overall.

One more thing that a bit of a miss for NFC. I never got the bolts which were supposed to be included. I was informed that they'd be delayed, but it's been several weeks since and no reply to my email a couple fo weeks back.

I eventually plan to get the Y pipe ceramic coated along with my stainless DC Sport headers once they arrive.

In this case I did, but they're not ideal for the new pipe's flanges.

It's hard to describe, but the stock bolts (which I had to whack out with a hammer) has a flare about 1/4" before the head. This flare has has many little grooves within it, I suppose to create friction within an OEM flange to prevent spinning. Unfortunately, the flare is *just* too wide for the Y pipe hole so it's the primary point of contact with the Y pipe flange. Essentially the OEM bolt's head is sticking 1/4" off the flange. I was able to tighten it, but a simple bolt with a straight shaft would be better.

I have the NFC Y-pipe on my G35s 6MT for about a lil over a month now. The mid-range and high-end gains were quite noticable as it pulled harder after 4K, especially at WOT. The claimed 5-6RWHP seems to be fair. My exhaust note didn't change much as it got a little bit deeper. I also did a custom mid-pipe with a 22" Magnaflow resonator welded in and this made the most difference in terms of exhaust note. The install of the Y-pipe was a little troublesome as it required a bit of muscle and playing around to line it up correctly before tightening down the bolts. But overall the product IMO is good bang for your buck and is made with good quality. I'd recommend it if you can't afford the JIC or Fujitsubo or you want to stick to the stock piping diameter. Mine fortunately came with all the necessary nuts, bolts, and gaskets. The only thing I gotta watch out for is any adverse affects of not having any flex sections on the y-pipe.
