I have Stillen test pipes and all it really did was make my exhaust louder than a farking mack truck. Then again my exhaust (Tanabe SMR) is rediculously loud to begin with. At high RPMs it is kinda like a bwaaaa almost gargly like V8 burble. Eh, I dont really like it but I blame the exhaust more than the test pipes. I'm sure with a quiet exhaust like Fujitsubo the test pipes would barely increase the sound. I am waiting till I can get some track time and hopefully a sponsor then use my freed up funds for a new exhaust.

I have helix test pipes with the Greddy Evo2 exhaust and i love it. I have little rasp when the car is cold but once it heats up and the exhaust expands a little it sounds great. I also noticed that it sounds totally different from inside the car than being on the outside. When driving the car it sounds a little raspy but then I had one of my friends drive it down the street and I almost pissed on myself cause it sounded so good. I heard no rasp when he drove it, just the sound of bliss.

Well, the rasp is generally caused when mating a very free flowing exaust (like borla and injen) with test pipes.

This is the reason I have crawford hf cats with my borla true-dual cb.

Crawford hf cats are relabled Magnaflow cats, so they have a nice sound to them.

Since the Nismo exaust has a Y-pipe, I imagine that if there is a rasp, it wouldn't be that bad; although, I have heard that when A Nismo exaust is free'ed up like with test-pipes, it gets really loud.

Glad to hear. You made an excellent choice with LBMS. And, you will love the sound of the JWT from 3k to 4k rpm.

HUGE problem, i was going around a corner at high speed on my way to work when one of my test pipes let out a horrible sound. when i let off the gas i thought about what it was then when i hit the gas again my car sounded like an indy car.... It is so awful loud now its ridiculous, i think a bolt fell off my test pipes or something, im at work right now and i still dont know exactly what is wrong, but usually the test pipes sound raspy but this sounds like an 03 Cobra with straight pipes headers back, its sick, and it would be cool if i didnt hafta drive everywhere with it. I need to get these test pipes fixed before i do any more driving, it sounds as if theres something seriously wrong in my exhaust now and i hope thats all thats wrong right now. I love test pipes and all my cars i have owned have had test pipes, but this is def a serious problem, and ill re post this evening when i find out whats wrong.

LBMS Test Pipes --

SO a week after I got them installed, I thought I was hearing a rattle under my car. Couldn't figure out what it was so I took it to the Shop. The bracket arm bolted to the car and saudered on the pipe detached -- not a big deal, I pulled of the arm and off I went.

Then again I started hearing a rattling type of sound, like metal on metal, a cling cling kind of thing. Now I'm wondering if the other one broke off, or if there's something else wrong. Or maybe it's supposed to sound like there's a metal ball inside a cofee can every time I step on it?!
