I think you have loosen the strut a lot and it is touching the hood.

Theres an actual mark on the plenum, a blemish of sorts, where it is touching. its peeling away the paint on the inside of the hood. The area is about 1/2 inch circle where its hitting. ill try to get pics but that would take awhile.

Hey Lou. Is there any particular reason that you always have to talk **** about Kinetix? If you are a Crawford guy, why do you always have to stick your nose in a Kinetix post and bash them?

To free up horsepower, you must add noise IMO. However, you have the loudest noisemaker there is right now, the POPCharger. BTW, I have one too.

Yes, I recommend the plenum, preferably the Crawford. You don't want to do anything to your exhaust without first doing Hi-Flow cats, again Crawford. Then maybe Borla TDs, and Crawford headers. By that time, you'll be ready for a TechnoSquare flashed ECU, again use the Crawford Flash.

Got my V4 to replace V3 and thx Kinetix for the fast shipping. Only thing I dont like about V4 is it doesnt sound as loud and cool as the V3 and V2 I got. I wonder if its because the ECU is not adjusted to the V4 yet.

No, it's the new material they used. It's a lot quieter than the previous versions. It won't get any louder than it is now.

Not yet. Waiting for the next "dyno day" so it's not so expensive.

Nice! It looks just like my engine bay, but I'd take your engine cover off unless you want a big gouge in the top of it from the hood rubbing against it.

wow. just as i was about to post about my plenum rubbing away the paint on my hood, i look in here to see that its' not only me. it also rubbed away the paint on my strut bar. is there anyway we could get a refund? i'm just not satisfied and i think i'd rather go with crawford.

edit: i know its the plenum, bc i painted the plenum and the paint on the plenum is also rubbed away.

correct me if Im wrong, but I see 2 bolts, meaning v3 or earlier, not v4. with no support in the middle, I would think v4 would blow up under pressure; or at very least, flex like hell.

I would not run a KINETIX (plastic) plenum with F/I if you paid me. That's just asking for trouble!

When (if) they release the aluminum version, that will be another story.

SungNamZ, I'd seriously take off the KINETIX plenum and put on your stocker instead. I've heard that with F/I the plenum doesn't really add much anyway.

Okay, I have been waiting a very long time for this and I am looking to find some answers....

Kinetx, Is there any timeframe you can provide as to when you think the aluminum plenum will be available? I have been waiting a very long time for any information and all I hear is that you are working on it. I am probably just one of many people that have already asked this question but now it is starting to come down to the wire. I have an engine build coming up soon within a month or so and I would really like to have this plenum.

Can you provide any insight at all?

Thank you.
