Default Interest in Hotshot headers for the 350Z!!!!

Alright fellas, just got off the phone with John at Hotshot Performance... for those who aren't familiar with Hotshot they make all kinds of parts for Sentra, Altimas, etc. Their headers for the 3.5 Altima pick up 22 HP to the wheels. Webpage: http://www.hotshot.com/main.htm They also make turbo kits etc for other Nissans. Their piping is really trick etc... On to the good stuff. They are very interested in making a set of headers for the Z but they need a test car. Usual deal, the test car will get a free set of headers for their time. These guys are really cool. I had their header on my Spec V for a long time. They are located in Irwindale so the test car would need to be near them. If ANYBODY is willing to to do this please PM me ASAP. The target price for these headers is going to be well under $600 and the quality will DEFINITELY be better then the DCs. Please PM me ASAP for details

Oh BTW their headers for the Spec V made 16 HP to the wheels and they may also be looking into making some long tube headers or test pipe/cat options with these. The Altima headers they made came with both headers and y pipe with or with out cat etc...Good stuff.

The NISMO headers for the Spec are re-badged Hotshot headers. They make good product.

isnt is hard to make a better header design than the ones out already? The stock ones already are more than good compared to other cars.

However i am very intrested in these headers. Let us know how they go. I recently recieved my DC headers and now im kinda bummed out because these hotshot headers sound like they are gonna be a blast!

So far all the headers are pretty close in power output. I dont expect these to make some INSANELY bigger gains than whats out but I'm pretty confident their headers will make more than the DCs for cheaper. Hotshot has always outperformed headers in the applications they make. Their Spec V and Altima headers make significantly more power then other companies for the same cars. Comparison I believe the Stillen headers for the Altima 3.5 make about 12-15 compared to 22HP for the Hotshot. Most headers for the Spec V make about 12-14 HP compared to 16 HP 16 ft/lb on the Hotshot. And they are usually cheaper.

hotshot headers for the celica gt made 10whp when there are no headers out there that even compared. Plus it was very affordable.

Stillens headers for the maxima were crap i lost hp and torque. I dont see how their altima ones were any better they are the same design. Im not the only one stating this guys on maxima.org did also.

So have I bro. Before I was into Nissans I owned more HOndas then I care to remember. I had DC Sports headers on almost every one. The Hotshot headers I've seen for the B13, B15, and Altima were MUCH better then the DCs I used prior to them. To each his own and if you have a loyalty to DC thats cool. I know what I've seen and IMO the Hotshot headers are better.

this is true, for about 2 years the hotshot header was the only good header out for the 1zzfe powered celica GT, however the new DC header makes the same power as the hotshot and its like 100 dollars less, but it isnt stainless steel like the hot shot.

i installed a hotshot header for someone, honestly the quality looks like butt. The welds are not very clean even the welds inside arent very clean, but it works good.
