I did that after my headers were on. I went to Lowes and got insulated tape for hot and cold purposes.

Thanks Glen

You can't really tell a difference, but it keeps cold air in the pipe instead of it heating up from the headers heat rising. I would do it, because its cheap to do around $5 for the insulated tape

My setup is custom i use the factory black pipe with insulated tape on it so it stays extra cool, because the metal pipe i had got hot from the throttle body connection solely because metal conducted more heat. Then from the MAF I have a rubber connector connected to a peice of aluminum pipe thats also has insualted tape on it. From that peice of pipe i have it connected to another piece of aluminum pipe ducted in front of my radiator with my apexi filter on it. The last piece of pipe i left alone because it stayed cool in the front of the car.

Thanks Glen

i don't have headers but i did this for aesthetic and heat control reasons. turned out great in IMO. wasn't difficult to install.

Default How much power are you generating?

I am just about to get the headers to go with my Stillen exh. and race-Pipes. Your right, there is rasp with the race-pipes, but there is extra power in the upper rpm's.

Have you dyno' your set-up?

No i have not dynoed it yet...Waitin til I get TS ecu and a couple other things. Didnt really notice that much of a difference though with the headers ...it does rev alot quicker though. Maybe ECU needs some time to adjust?? I hope thats the case
