Default Kinetix v4 gasket problem/question

I was inspecting the plenum today, and I noticed that that the cork gasket around one of the screws was protruding outwards a little bit, like a tongue sticking out. About less than 1/8".

Did I tighten that screw too much?

I don't detect/hear any air leaks, idle is fine, but that little tongue sticking out freaked me. Any thoughts?

Thanks

Mines the same way, also this was posted earlier and while several people had this occur, there were no problems or leaks.

It's normal. Mine has done that ever since Version 1. No problems caused by it.

Yeah, but it's no necessary. I used Permatex Gold when I installed my V3, but when I took it off to install the V4, it had not stuck to anything and basically made a big mess.

You can use it if you want to, but I would say you don't need to.
