Default Plenum: not the same damn question as always

What is the stock plenum made of, how heavy is it, and is anyone selling one?

Thanks a load!

thanks very much PhoenixINX

I appreciate your help

I presume that you know the stock plenum is cast aluminum?

And does that mean that the kinetix plenum is lighter than stock?

Thanks

so.. this thread in reality is the same question as always since by asking what it was made out of.. you were eluding to whether or not the kinetix was lighter than stock

yes it is.

aluminum, off hand feels like about 10-15lbs vs 5-7 for the kinetix.

Wow, what an ignorant answer...

Thermoplastics are about 40% lighter than aluminum.

Anyway, I thought that with the last version, cracking issues were resolved.

The cracking issues have been resolved with the V4 plenum. There are no documented problems with the V4 Kinetix plenum cracking. You should get your facts straight before you open your mouth.
