will this damage anything? Or is the stock muffler high flow enough to handle it.

No problem. I have Hi-Flo CATS, Y-Pipe and B-Pipe, connected to the stock muffler. No problem thus far. The stock muffler is actually quite good. Just make sure that your B-Pipe matches with your Y-Pipes, and that it tapers down to match the stock muffler inlet.

Yeah, you are running HI-flow cats... Running test pipes will ruin your stock muffler...

the test pipe resonating is constant with a stock muffler, and it sounds like a europian sports car.

The cat's are there for a purpose... So now unburnt fuel is escaping which in turns makes your exhaust run HOTTER and sometimes can create EXPLOSIONS (ever see cars shoot fireballs?) these explosion litteraly blowout the muffler because of the unburnt fuel that is passing through it. Not very good idea to do on a stock muffler considering it has multiple chambers, on a straigher exhaust like INJEN, NVIDIA, those wouldn't affect it as much. BTW I know this because I BLEW Out 3 STOCK Mufflers because of that... You will see after 6-12 Months depending how HARD and how much you drive your car.

He doesnt care if it ruins the muffler, he cares if it hurts the motor or any other major component.
He plans on getting a different exhaust in about 6 months. thanks for your input let me know if the muffler is the only part that might get destroyed.

You never saw my car

You won't shoot flames just by running an aftermarket exhaust and cats. You have to be catless and run aftermarket exhaust to really see it. And if your running just a single exhaust like mine you REALLY SEE IT! specially at redline and you car hear the loud POP. Its just unburnt fuel burning at the end creating an explosion...
