Default 03 Seat Bolsters --TSB UPDATE--

So back in December I took my 03 Track into the dealer to have them fix a few TSBs....one being the excessive wearing of the seat bolsters. They ordered parts way back then and just recently got the parts in. ::cough:: Yes, that was over 3 months ago. ::cough::

I took my car back to them this morning and just got a call back. They said that Nissan has issued a NEW fix for that TSB and now I have to wait for them to order the NEW parts for this solution. They're not allowed to fix it using the old method any longer.

So in total, getting some simple fabric repaired will take 4 full days without my beloved.

So what's up with this? Did Nissan find a cheaper way to fix the issue or what? My service dept is excellent so I don't they're giving me the run around.

Maybe it's nothing....I just miss my car and needed to vent.

Let us know what it is. I have been waiting over a year for my seats. Yes, a YEAR. Not for lack of trying either. I have almost given up on the whole thing. I have been looking at leather seat cover replacements.

Just to let everyone know, I took my car in on monday of this week (3/14) with a few problems window popping seat wear and seat popping. The fix for the window was the regulator was loose and it also needed some special grease, the seat fix was to order 2 new seat skins(pass and driver). After seeing this thread I thought for sure that it would be awhile till I got the covers but i got a call today saying that the new seat skins where in. I will post before and after pics once it is done.

think nissan would go leather covers for the price of the difference between the cost of the cloth?!?! probably not, but that was my idea to bring up come summer time when i bring my seats in for this issue

i mean, they have to buy the cloth covers anyway...right?

Thanks for the nissanhelp link! Mine is in and out of the dealer for tires, seats, and a bunch of other stuff that is wrong in under 30k miles....

man, has anyone looked at some the "fixes" they post for this POS car? I love the one about the shift **** - get some channel-locks and twist it - LOL. I have never seen a car with so many shadetree TSB's. Talk about rushed to market....
