need to know what causes this? i checked my oil level and it's almost on the lowest level. I had it oil changed last march, checked it and everything was good. I don't see any leaks underneath the car. Just need to know what's wrong with my engine

What's wrong with your engine is a wide open question. First, determine if there is, or is not something wrong...do the oil consumption test yourself:
How many miles since your March 5, 2005 oil change?
How much oil to top it off?
This is your consumption... x quarts / xxxx miles
I don't know what Nissan says is normal (probably anything that makes you go away), but the service interval to change the oil is 3750 miles. The range capacity on the dipstick is about a quart. That's one quart per 3750 miles. If it's normal for the engine to have a higher consumption rate, they would have a "check oil" interval at say...2k miles. Use that as you wish when talking to Nissan.
Mine uses half quart per 4k miles, but I still check it about every 1k.

I have had mine in the dealership 2x now for no oil in the engine, oil light on all the time
I had the oil consumption test done, and they said it was not burning any oil, but yet every 3K miles it seems to have no oil in it.
Pipes are always black, I never smell oil.
I don't know just a screwed up weak engine i guess.
