I don't recall.. It's whatever the dealer put in 3 months ago. I'm sure it wasn't a synthetic oil though. My car is too new for that.

i use mobile one synthetic oil and my pressure is low again and its been exactly 3000 miles since my last oil change,, the oil had a little darkness in it.... Could burned oil make my pressure lower?

Your oil change should give you about 4.5-4.9 quarts of oil. Over 5 shouldnt happen. Also if your oil psi is dropping under 20psi engine damage is happening. The oil psi sensor is one of my fav things about the Z bc thats your cars life blood. The car needs to be at 30 psi idle and 60-100 under load for proper viscocity and engine protection. If it ever happens again stop driving and change it immediately, that is some crap oil or the wrong weight.
That's not true...a lot of people have idle of 13-15psi and 90psi after 3.5-4k rpm. Read the manual..it tells you the normal readings.

billet350: the problem is not with the oil...3 month old oil is still in good shape. A faulty oil pressure sender or lack of oil are two major things to look at. I would certainly have the dealer look at the car if your oil pressure drops again...maybe check the oil level more often to see if you are losing oil.

I don't really check the oil pressure guage often...maybe I should.

I dont know a single Z owner (out of about 10 i know) that has experienced 13-15 psi at idle. 90psi is fine did i ever say it wasnt? 120psi makes me scared and so does 15. 15psi says to me your oil is too thin, do something about it. But hey who am i to tell someone else how to maintain their engine so take it with a grain of salt i guess.

Search the forums, you'll find a lot of people in that range. When its really hot here in Georgia I get 14-15psi and in the winter its around 20-21.
