Default Important News Re:break-ins

MY 350Z TOURING WAS BROKEN INTO SHORTLY AFTER I GOT IT. LIKE 2 HOURS OFTER I GOT IT. I WILL NOT TELL YOU HOW THEY DID IT BECAUSE OF HOW EASY IT WAS, BUT I CAN TELL YOU THAT NISSAN MADE A BIG BIG BIG MISTAKE WHEN THEY PUT THIS CAR TOGETHER. THEY GOT IN AND DISABLED THE ALARM WITHIN 10 SECONDS---AND THEY, WHOEVER THEY ARE KNOW HOW TO DO IT AND NONE OF THE 350Z'S ARE SAFE( NEITHER ARE ANY BELONGINGS YOU LEAVE IN THE CAR). THEY WOULD HAVE TAKEN THE CAR IF SOMEONE HAD'NT PULLED UP BEHIND MY CAR AND SCARED THEM OFF.ITS HORRIBLE HOW EASY IT WAS. THEY WERE ABLE TO BREAK IN AT DINNER TIME WITH PEOPLE AROUND WITH OUT A NOISE . I WOULD TELL SOMEBODY FROM NISSAN IF I THOUGHT IT WOULD HELP BUT I TOLD MY DEALER AND DO NOT THINK THEY WILL PASS ON THE INFO TO NISSAN.

Yes, that would be helpful. At least PM those of us interested. Maybe the collective of us can find a fix.

Oh, and I doubt they would have been able to take the car. It has an immobilizer deactivated by a chip in the key; totally separate from the alarm system.

There's nothing you can do short of nissan having a service bulletin add a block off plate in the vulerable part of your car. Other than that , get an alarm, other than the stock nissan(*even with the shock sensor added) because the stock one was bypassed during the break in into my car.
I am so sorry I can not post the details of my break in.Noone wants me to post how they got in. If I did it would give alot of bad people info we do not want them to have.
Again I'm sorry. And this is not B.S. My car is at nissan, getting the damage from the break in repaired.

I agree with the above...basically you say "my car was broken into..but I wont tell you where/how" Not very helpful.

all you have to do is unplug the battery and the alarm and everything is off...

So you're telling me the stock alarm doesn't have a back-up battery?

What it sounds like is,...He knows how to do it,...and must have plans for himself and has already done it?
Sounds like he either had it planned because he says " they would have taken the car if someone hadn't pulled up and scared them off,.." He was either watching or was a part of it in some small way,..cuz he knows all about it,..you must ahve had a telescope watching everythging they did or you know them and wanted them to do it,...this is a little INsane,..I bet its the door handles thats the probablem

I'm done w/ this,..you need to come off w/ the scoop if you are a fellow Nissan owner and don't want to see it happen to another or otherwise your being a stuck up *****!

The problem is with the handles. Specifically the drivers side door handle. I am not going to give the details of the rest of the break in and the alarm bypass, but thats how they got in. The way I know the limo scared them off is because when I went outside and saw what happened I questioned the driver. Now am i really a stuck up ***** or someone who was trying to keep our problem hush hush. Does superman go around telling people about kryptonite???
Anyway, the only way I figure to stop break-ins using the aforementioned methods is to get an independent proximity alarm. You can use a cover with a proximity alarm because just to get to the car they have to remove the cover which sets off the proximity alarm.

Any car can be broken into, there's no way around that. Any car can be stolen with relative easy, there's no way around that... fact is nothing is 100% secure... **** happens, sorry it happened to you... but Nissan is not to blame, only the thief...

well,..the way your being so hush, hush sounds like your holding on to it for your own work,..not by saying anything so others can hear...you didn't say that @ first,..just kept saying how messed up the door handles are,.so thats the give-a-way Right there!

but I kinda see your point,..but you spilled the beans a little,.but i guess the Alarm is still in the way,..but eitehr way,.if its gonna get stolen,..it'll get stolen!

SO,.I take it back,..see what your point is now!

SORRY BROTHA!

Alarms really dont do much, you can just open the hood and take out the fuse for the alarm by the battery and then the alarm is useless.
